Nominations Committee
The Nominations Committee is responsible for collaborating with assigned committee members to develop a process for nominating and/or appointing Board ad Committee members. The Chair will guide this committee to solicited members to put their names forward for Board or Committee positions; this committee will review the qualifications of all applicants, and the Chair will bring the names of qualified nominees to the Board for approval. This committee oversees the nominations/appointment process. The CACNS President is not a member of this committee. The nominations and elections process of CACNS consists of the following:
- A call for nominations will be placed in September of the calendar year for any open or pending board positions.
- The call for nominations will include the position descriptions and responsibilities for each position.
- Any active regular member wishing to be nominated will complete a list of questions as per the Nominating Committee that address their reason for interest and knowledge of issues pertaining to CACNS issues of the time.
- Elections take place in October of every year and the winner will be announced in early November. The newly elected officer or director will assume their office in January of the next fiscal year.
*Meets in the last six months of the year to prepare for elections.
