Community Medical Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Manager, PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a nursing job in Fresno, California.

Responsibilities:

Located at Community Regional Medical Center — home to the region’s only Level I Trauma Center — our Med Surg Oncology & Stepdown unit offers a unique opportunity to lead care for patients requiring both progressive and oncology care. This dual-purpose unit features 20 licensed oncology beds and 24 licensed progressive care beds, serving patients with trauma, orthopedic, surgical and cancer-related needs at moderate to intermediate levels of acuity.

  • Apply the leadership and administrative skills you developed at the bedside to support a dynamic team that bridges progressive and oncology-level care.
  • Coordinate patient care, foster staff development, drive performance improvements and ensure operational efficiency across two levels of care acuity.
  • Foster a positive working environment in your unit as part of an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued, and you actively help team members navigate their career growth and development.

As a member of the unit leadership team, the Assistant Nurse Manager is an exempt level role scheduled 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications:
  • RN – Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required 
  • BLS – Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required 
  • Certifications as required for the unit
