Clinical Nurse Specialist Recognition Week 2024

On behalf of the California Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CACNS), I wish you a wonderful Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) week, September 1-7, 2024. The value of this Advanced Practice Registered Nurse can’t be overstated. Many hospitals in California and around the country maintain the Magnet designation certification of excellence through the direct work of the CNS. Through the CNSs’ expert knowledge of research, the newest theories are brought to the practice of our nurses. And, when registered nurses seek higher education, CNSs act as mentors and associate professors in universities and colleges. So, thank you, one and all, for your dedication to the profession of nursing, your tireless work toward improving the hospital experience for the public, and your efforts of innovation in advancing the future of healthcare everywhere.
