CACNS Membership Dues Update
Posted 1 day ago

Dear CACNS Family,
It was such a joy to see so many of you at our annual conference. The energy in the room was palpable—shared expertise from the podium and poster sessions, inspiring insights from our speakers, and meaningful personal conversations with each of you. In those moments, I was reminded why I am so honored to be a Clinical Nurse Specialist and so proud to serve you as President this year.
During our time together, we had honest and productive conversations about the current state of our profession and our role in nursing and patient care. We spoke openly about the demands and challenges we face each day, both as a profession and as an organization. To meet those demands and ensure CACNS remains the strong, supportive home we all rely on, we have collectively decided it is time to update our membership dues. It has been decades since our rates were last adjusted. Simply put, we want to do more for you—and these changes will allow us to do just that.
What This Means for You
Starting March 1, 2026, we are moving to a structure that reflects this change. When you break it down, the increase is modest, but the impact on our collective resources will be huge.
Regular & Associate Members: Increasing from $50 to $100 per year.
Student & Retired Members: Increasing from $35 to $50 per year.
A Quick "To-Do" for You
Because the rates are changing, all current auto-renewals will be canceled. If you have had your membership on "autopilot" for years, you will need to log in to your Nursing Network account and set up your renewal again at the new rate. I know it is an extra step in your busy day, but it helps us ensure everything is handled correctly and securely for you.
CACNS is more than just an organization—we are a large community of peers who support one another. We see this change as an investment in our shared voice and our future. The CACNS Board and I are truly grateful for your understanding and, even more importantly, for the incredible work you do each and every day.
Kindly,
Olena Svetlov, DNP, BA, APRN, AGNP/CNS, CCRN, PHN, NE, FCNS
